I recently relocated to Portland at the end of 2025 after spending the past ten years in San Diego, where I attended San Diego State University. Originally from the Bay Area, I have over a decade of experience working with children through nannying, babysitting, daycare settings, and before- and after-school programs. I was first introduced to Waldorf-inspired education while working closely with a family whose values emphasized rhythm, imagination, and reverence for childhood. That experience sparked a lasting interest in holistic, child-centered education and affirmed what I had already felt intuitively: that children thrive when their emotional, spiritual, and physical worlds are nurtured together. I believe that integrating a child's inner life with their experiences in the natural world fosters empowerment, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning.
The philosophy of The Treehouse aligns deeply with my own values and experiences. I greatly admire the school's dedication to creating a space where children are encouraged to explore, play, build confidence, and challenge themselves in a safe and supportive environment. I strive to be the kind of adult I needed as a child - one who offers warmth, consistency, and care, while also embracing silliness, creativity, and imagination. When children feel safe, seen, and supported, they grow into confident learners and thoughtful problem-solvers.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy hiking, singing, cooking, performing in children's musical productions, and continuing my own personal studies through modalities such as Human Design and astrology. I feel honored to be part of a community that values wonder, growth, and lifelong learning, and I'm excited to help light up each child's day.
