I started working at The Treehouse in October 2018 and deeply value the sense of community and inspiration it brings to my life. After earning my graduate degree in Nutrition, I started my time here at The Treehouse as the Kitchen Manager and absolutely loved creating and serving homemade, nourishing food to the children. After the pandemic began, I stepped into a co-teacher role and loved connecting and engaging with the children in this new way. Their ability to approach each day with wonder and curiosity inspired me to do the same; this was an incredible blessing during such a challenging time in our world.
As of January 2023, I have held the Office Manager position for The Treehouse and welcomed the transition with excitement! During my time as the Kitchen Manager, I discovered my love for staff wellness, spreadsheets, budgets, and tedious administrative tasks. This position has allowed me to further my organizational, time management, and thoughtful communication skills and I thrive in it.
Outside of The Treehouse, I've had the opportunity to explore other passions both professionally and personally. In 2021, I co-authored a cookbook I had been dreaming up for many years while in the holistic nutrition space: The Moon Cycle Cookbook, a Holistic Nutrition Guide for a Well-Balanced Menstrual Cycle. This project perfectly blended my love for science, recipe development, and creativity and I'm so proud of how many people its supported.
In my personal life, you'll find me working in my garden, dreaming up the next home project, taking my two dogs on adventures with my husband, Issac, playing in the river, and hunting for thrifted treasures. I love this last hobby so much that I started a vintage shop, Hunny Combed Goods, in February 2025 and give my finds a new home by selling at Memory Den and various vintage markets around the Portland area.
